Quarterly Catch Up January 2022
I hope that you all got to have some rest and spent some precious time with your family and friends over the festive season.
Despite the world still adjusting to a continuous volatile global environment, I am very grateful to note that 2021 brought tremendous growth for our industry as a whole. With strong commodity demand only set to grow more robust in the coming years, the outlook is certainly positive for the mining sector.
The digitalisation of the mining industry is a strong focus within the mining industry currently, with the trend only set to become more imperative in the future. The global market has recently seen some major investments in the digital mining space with major players such Sandvik, announcing the acquisition of Deswik which will be part of Sandvik’s newly formed division Digital Mining Technologies, and Hexagon’s acquisition of drilling optimisation tech provider, Minnovare.
During the last quarter we maintained a strong focus on developing our People and Culture strategies. In November we launched both our LiveMine Values and Mission Statement as well as the LiveMine Employee Benefits program. This program includes a variety of employee benefits to invest in not only our employee’s overall health and future, but also their families health and future. By offering these benefits we hope to set ourselves apart from other employers by and helping to build our culture of treating the team as family.
Furthermore, this month we are also proud to launch our LiveMine Champions Award These award recognise some of our clients and employees that go above and beyond to make LiveMine the success that it is today..
I am incredibly honoured that LiveMine was named a finalist in the Rise Business News Awards 2021 for Start Up of the Year among some very strong competition. This is a testament to the hard work, innovative thinking and perseverance that our team is showing and I believe we are only on the very start of our journey.
Finally, we have recently moved into our new state of the art offices in the bustling heart of Fremantle. This move will support our expansion plans over the next couple of years so make sure to pop in to check it out and have a chat with our friendly team if you are in the area!
Thanks to our clients and the LiveMine team for your continued support of our business and we look forward to working with you all again this year.
Stay safe,
Bud O’Shannessy, Founder and Managing Director of LiveMine Solutions
